Krystyn Clouston

has been appointed area sales manager, mobile sales with CIBC. In her new role she will be focused on attracting and retaining a mortgage adviser team across Manitoba and northern Ontario. Clouston has more than 15 years of sales and management experience in the financial services industry and an extensive background in residential lending.

Courtney Klassen

of Winnipeg has been appointed web and graphic designer in the resource and public engagement department at Canadian Foodgrains Bank. Before coming to the Foodgrains Bank, Klassen worked for four years at Golden West Broadcasting as a graphic designer. She is in her final year of studies in the International Development Studies program at Menno Simons College and the University of Winnipeg. Since September, she has been under contract to the Foodgrains Bank to provide web and graphic design services.

Digvir Jayas

the University of Manitoba’s vice-president (research and international) and distinguished professor, has been appointed to the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada. Collectively, NSERC members represent the academic research and private-sector communities in the natural sciences and engineering. Jayas’ appointment is for three years.

president of Pegasus Publications Inc., is happy to welcome Brenlee Coates to the editorial team. Coates was arts/culture editor for the award-winning Sandbox Magazine, as well as a writer for Cottage Life and the Spectator Tribune. She will be the primary editor of Smart Tab — a monthly tabloid publication dedicated to providing local employment and lifestyle content that inspires young people to stay, work and innovate in Manitoba.

has been appointed to the position of vice-president, group benefits consulting at Hub International Strata Benefits Consulting (Hub Strata). Vercaigne joined Hub STRATA in 2003 and is responsible for serving clients in strategically designing and managing innovative, cost-effective benefit programs.
