Hey there, time traveller!

Winnipeg-based People Corporation has completed its second acquisition in three months with the purchase of the group-benefits business of Bryan H. Lupe and Associates (BHL).
The acquisition of BHL, which provides group benefits consulting and administrative services to a broad range of clients, is People Corporation’s first in the Winnipeg market.
It comes on the heels of the March acquisition of an increased economic interest in a portfolio of group-benefits clients from an Ontario-based brokerage firm.
“The momentum in the execution of our growth strategy is continuing, and we are well-positioned with a strong team, significant capital, and an attractive operating model,” People Corp. chairman and CEO Laurie Goldberg said in a written statement.
BHL founder Bryan Lupe said that in considering his options for a transition of ownership, he wanted to find a partner who has the same strong focus on creative solutions and client service that BHL had.
“In addition to providing our valued clients with the same level of superior advice, products and services that is the cornerstone of our firm, we are excited about making available many of the unique and proprietary offerings that come with partnering with People Corporation,” he added.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
