PEOPLE
Al Babiuk
of Loewen Windows was elected as chairman of the Window and Door Manufacturers Association for 2015-17. Babiuk replaces outgoing chairman Steve Donner of Weiland Sliding Doors and Windows.
Scott Greer and Kathleen Kudlak
have recently joined with BDO Canada in their Winnipeg office, expanding the company’s marketing presence within the Manitoba region.
Heather Gaudes, Jennifer Nichols, and Ryan Valderama
have recently completed all the requirements for their full Accredited Assessor Manitoba Designation. To achieve this designation, requirements include a combination of education, experience and adherence to a professional code of conduct.
AWARDS
The board of directors and the staff of the Manitoba Lung Association
congratulate Dr. Juliette (Archie) Cooper on receiving a Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Manitoba for service to the University of Manitoba. Cooper is an active, involved and essential member of the Manitoba Lung Association board. In her additional role as a chairwoman of the research and knowledge translation committee, she provides strategic guidance to the board on matters pertaining to best practices in research, surveillance and knowledge translation.
