TORONTO – Some of the most active companies traded Friday on the Toronto Stock Exchange:
Toronto Stock Exchange (down 162.67 points at 19,418.23):
Power Corporation of Canada. (TSX:POW). Finance. Down 64 cents, or 1.83 per cent, to $34.36 on 8.8 million shares.
Canadian Natural Resources Limited. (TSX:CNQ). Energy. Down 68 cents, or 0.96 per cent, to $70.35 on 8.0 million shares.
Cenovus Energy Inc. (TSX:CVE). Energy. Down 31 cents, or 1.45 per cent, to $21.15 on 8.0 million shares.
Baytex Energy Corp. (TSX:BTE). Energy. Down nine cents, or 2.26 per cent, to $3.90 on 7.8 million shares.
Suncor Energy Inc. (TSX:SU). Energy. Down 40 cents, or 1.06 per cent, to $37.51 on 6.5 million shares.
ARC Resources Ltd. (TSX:ARX). Energy. Up 48 cents, or 2.74 per cent, to $18.01 on 6.3 million shares.

BCE Inc. (TSX:BCE). Retail. Down 36 cents, or 0.61 per cent, to $58.82. BCE Inc.’s media arm is asking the federal telecommunications regulator to waive local news and Canadian programming requirements for its television stations, saying its obligations are based on outdated market realities. In an application to the CRTC, filed June 14, Bell Media requested the regulator drop requirements for spending on local news and on the number of hours per week that stations are required to broadcast locally reflective news in major and smaller markets.
