The Western Retail Lumber Association, a 135-year-old organization, is changing its name to better represent its membership.
On Friday, the association rebranded as Supply-Build Canada.
The organization — with headquarters in Winnipeg — represents the building industry beyond lumber and retail, association president Liz Kovach said in a news release. Manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers and other categories fall under Supply-Build Canada’s purview.
Supply-Build Canada also announced a partnership with the North American Hardware and Paint Association that will come into effect this year. Through the partnership, Supply-Build Canada will be the country’s only licensed provider of the latter association’s educational and training programs.
