Hey there, time traveller!

Joe Fresh will be taking over — at least temporarily — a former Giant Tiger space.
For more than a year, the retailer has sold discount clothes and accessories at a site near Winnipeg’s airport. There are $2 bins of goods; racks advertise garments for $10.
The pop-up shop has moved to 305 McPhillips St., per Joe Fresh announcements. It closed its 1821 Wellington Ave. site last month and will open the new location Thursday.
Joe Fresh parent Loblaw Companies Ltd. didn’t answer questions about the move by print deadline.
The McPhillips Street strip mall space has been vacant since Giant Tiger exited last summer. It was one of seven locations Giant Tiger closed because they couldn’t meet the retail chain’s franchise business model, spokeswoman Alison Scarlett said in May 2024.
The Joe Fresh pop-up will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
