WestJet’s former leader has joined the North West Company’s board of directors.

The North West Company, based in Winnipeg, announced Gregg Saretsky as its latest addition on Friday. Saretsky was president of WestJet from 2010 to 2018 and currently sits on the board of India’s largest airline, InterGlobe Aviation Limited.

NWC acquired North Star Air Ltd., an airline out of Thunder Bay, in 2017. It’s among many subsidiaries: the company is known for selling food and common goods to rural communities across Canada, Alaska, the South Pacific and Caribbean.
