OTTAWA – Canada’s annual inflation rate was 2.4 per cent in September, Statistics Canada says. Here’s what happened in the provinces (previous month in brackets):
— Newfoundland and Labrador: 2.0 per cent (1.3)
— Prince Edward Island: 1.7 per cent (1.1)
— Nova Scotia: 2.7 per cent (2.2)
— New Brunswick: 2.3 per cent (1.6)
— Quebec: 3.3 per cent (2.7)
— Ontario: 2.0 per cent (1.7)
— Manitoba: 2.9 per cent (2.0)
— Saskatchewan: 2.6 per cent (1.7)
— Alberta: 1.9 per cent (1.4)
— British Columbia: 1.9 per cent (1.8)
