MDA Space reports Q3 revenue up 45 per cent from year ago

BRAMPTON – MDA Space Ltd. reported $24.4 million in net income for its third quarter, down from $29.5 million in the same quarter last year as its revenue rose 45 per cent compared with a year ago.
The company says the profit amounted to 19 cents per diluted share for the quarter ended Sept. 30, down from 24 cents per diluted share a year ago.
On an adjusted basis, MDA says it earned 35 cents per diluted share in its latest quarter, up from an adjusted profit of 28 cents per diluted share a year ago.
Revenue totalled $409.8 million, up from $282.4 million in the third quarter of 2024.
MDA says its satellite systems business saw $283.5 million in revenue for the quarter, up from $167.6 million a year ago, while its robotics and space operations businesses earned $78.3 million in revenue, up from $66.5 million in the same quarter last year. The company’s geointelligence operations earned $48.0 million in revenue, down from $48.3 million a year ago.
MDA’s backlog stood at $4.4 billion at the end of its most recent quarter.
