TORONTO – Aimia Inc. has signed a deal to sell its interest in Italian specialty chemicals business Giovanni Bozzetto S.p.A to One Equity Partners.
The company says the transaction is expected to generate net proceeds in the range of $265 million to $271 million.
It plans to use the net proceeds from the sale to strengthen its balance sheet and to make acquisitions.
Aimia acquired its interest in Bozzetto in May 2023.
The company says the transaction is expected to close within the next three months, subject to customary closing conditions and approvals.
One Equity Partners is a private equity firm focused on the industrial, health care and technology sectors in North America and Europe.
