OTTAWA – Former competition commissioner Matthew Boswell has joined Norton Rose Fulbright Canada.
The law firm says Boswell has been named a partner in its antitrust and competition practice, based in Ottawa.
He was Canada’s commissioner of competition from 2018 to 2025.
Boswell stepped down from the top job at the watchdog in December last year ahead of his planned end date of February 2026 for personal reasons.
Boswell’s time in the job saw the regulator put big names in its crosshairs including tech companies Google and DoorDash.
The regulator also took aim at so-called drip pricing, which tacks on undisclosed fees and surcharges.
