The federal and provincial governments are funnelling $4 million into training at Manitoba small- and medium-sized businesses.
Eligible companies can receive up to $100,000 each.
The Building Up Manitoba Program covers up to $10,000 per worker for upskilling or reskilling, and training for laid-off or unemployed people.
Businesses can also get up to $25,000 for human resource strategies that assess workforce needs and develop training plans.
The funding comes through the Canada-Manitoba Labour Market Transfer Agreement.
Small- and medium-sized businesses are those with fewer than 500 employees, according to a definition provided in a Monday news release.
