GUELPH – Linamar Corp. reported net earnings of $183.1 million during its second quarter, up from $126.9 million in the same period last year.

That amounted to diluted net earnings per share of $3.08, compared with $2.12 during the prior-year quarter.

Linamar says more than 90 per cent of its sales are tariff-free, but that Section 232 tariffs are impacting some industrial products.

The company also announced it is raising its quarterly dividend to 32 cents per share.

Linda Hasenfratz, Linamar’s executive chair, says the company achieved the record in sales despite a challenging environment.
