MONTREAL – A 30-year-old railroad worker was fatally struck by a train in Montreal.
Emergency services were called to the scene of the tragedy around 3 a.m. Saturday.
It happened near the Jacques-Cartier bridge in downtown Montreal.
The victim’s identity has not yet been released.
The Montreal police investigation is ongoing, but a spokesperson told The Canadian Press signs point to a workplace accident without criminal elements.
The Transportation Safety Board of Canada announced it has sent a team of investigators to the scene.
