VANCOUVER – Police say they have recovered more than $10,000 in jewelry and luxury items that were stolen during a real estate open house in Vancouver over the weekend.

The department says officers stopped a rental vehicle on Saturday night after noticing it leaving a home that is known to police.

It says in a news release that officers found evidence linked to an unreported theft of jewelry and luxury items that occurred during the open house earlier that day.

The release says that officers also discovered evidence that is believed to be connected to other fraud and break-and-enter investigations in the area.

Two men have been arrested and released pending further investigation, and police say charges haven’t been approved.

Vancouver police Sgt. Adam Donaldson says investigators are examining the items seized in the vehicle search to determine if there are more victims who have not yet been identified.
