Cabela’s Canada is relocating its corporate headquarters from Transcona to a bigger and better building in the St. Boniface Industrial Park.

The Winnipeg-based company said today its headquarters, which has a staff of 200, will be moving next month from its current 30,000-square foot space at 766 Pandora Ave. East to a newly renovated 70,000-square-foot building at 25 De Baets St.

“Cabela’s Canada is growing at an exciting rate, which requires larger, more improved facilities for our corporate staff,” said Darin Brecht, Cabela’s Canada’s director of finance.

Brecht said the larger quarters will enable the head office to operate more effectively and efficiently.

Cabela’s Canada was established in 2007 and currently operates nine retail stores in Canada. That includes stores in Winnipeg; Nanaimo, Barrie, Saskatoon, Regina, Moncton and Calgary, and two outlets in Edmonton. The company also plans to open two more stores this year in Abbotsford and Ottawa, and a store next year in Halifax.
