Hey there, time traveller!

Ultra low-cast carrier, Flair Airlines, has announced that it will be adding twice weekly non-stop flights between Winnipeg and Regina and Winnipeg and Saskatoon starting in the spring.
One-way fares for both routes will start at $49 including taxes and fees.
The Kelowna-based airline said it is increasing its fleet by 33 per cent, adding new Boeing 737 Max aircraft, and will be cutting fuel consumption and CO2 emission by 14 per cent.
Barry Rempel, president and CEO of Winnipeg Airports Authority, said, “Our partnership with Flair is growing and their efforts to provide Manitobans with more convenient, low-cost domestic travel options are playing a critical role in quickly restoring the affordable, wide-ranging air services our community relies upon to sustain itself and grow.”
City most intelligent community
Winnipeg has been chosen by the New York-based Intelligent Community Forum (ICF) as the World’s Most Intelligent Community for 2021.
The city has been in the final top seven of the international program three times in the past.
The ICF’s think tank that developed a method to identify prosperous, inclusive economies with rich culture, taking into account the massive disruptions of the digital age.
Dayna Spiring, the CEO of Economic Development Winnipeg, which spearheaded the ICF applications, said, “We know our strong collaborations across businesses, industry, education and government means positive change can happen quickly. We can credit that to our tight-knit community that repeatedly comes up with innovative ways to solve problems.”
This is another acknowledgement of the city’s excellence along with the recent inclusion on Time magazine’s list of the World’s Greatest Places of 2021 and also one of the Top 20 Best Locations to Invest by Site Selection magazine.
