TORONTO – Some of the most active companies traded Thursday on the Toronto Stock Exchange:

Toronto Stock Exchange (19,004.06, down 607.50 points.)

Athabasca Oil Corporation (TSX:ATH). Energy. Down seven cents, or 2.3 per cent, to $2.96 on 11.4 million shares.

Crescent Point Energy Corp. (TSX:CPG). Energy. Down 77 cents, or 6.5 per cent, to $11.06 on 10.9 million shares.

Baytex Energy Corp. (TSX:BTE). Energy. Down 40 cents, or 5.1 per cent, to $7.40 on 9.2 million shares.

Cenovus Energy Inc. (TSX:CVE). Energy. Down $1.76, or 6.4 per cent, to $25.95 on 9.1 million shares.

TC Energy Corporation (TSX:TRP). Energy. Down $2.58, or 3.7 per cent, to $66.40 on 8.9 million shares.

Canadian Natural Resources Ltd. (TSX:CNQ). Energy. Down $5.19, or 6.7 per cent, to $71.99 on 8.8 million shares.

Companies in the news:

WestJet Group. The WestJet Group says it plans to refocus its routes and fleet on Western Canada. The Calgary-based airline says in the wake of a strategic review, it has decided to shift resources to grow its presence in the west. It says it will add routes to more communities and centre its existing wide-body 787 Dreamliner fleet around Western Canada. The airline says it will pause future acquisitions of wide-body Dreamliners, which it uses to fly transatlantic routes, focusing instead on additional narrow-body growth instead.

Telus Corp. (TSX:T). Telus Corp. has signed a deal to buy LifeWorks Inc. valued at $2.9 billion including debt as it pushes further into employee wellness and health-care services. LifeWorks, formerly known as Morneau Shepell, is an HR firm that helps companies with employee and family assistance plans, absence management, pension and benefits administration and retirement planning. The transaction will add LifeWorks’ employee and family assistance program and benefit administration capabilities to Telus Health’s digital technologies. Telus Health offers virtual care and provides patients access to digital pharmacy options, home health monitoring and electronic health records.
