Peg Beer Co., the Winnipeg brewery and restaurant, is closed until further notice.

The announcement was made around noon Thursday in a short, three-sentence Facebook post on the brew-pub’s page. A sign currently hangs on the door that reads, “Closed until further notice.”

No explanation was given for the closure.

“We are currently closed. Once we are able to provide further info, we will. Thank you for your support and understanding,” the post read.

The Exchange District business opened in April 2016. It began brewing its own beer in September of that year. They were the first out of the gate in the latest wave of breweries and brew pubs in the city.
