Uber Eats is coming to Winnipeg in the coming weeks.
The restaurant food delivery off-shoot of the global ride-hailing brand is already active in about 20 Canadian cities, from Vancouver to St. John’s.
The company says it will launch in about a dozen new cities in Canada next month.
Uber Eats says it will be in 100 Canadian cities and towns by the end of 2018. First launched in Toronto in 2015, it now has more than 8,000 restaurants on the platform with more than 10,000 delivery partners.
Winnipeg restaurants that have already signed on include Jeffrey’s Restaurant, Saucers Cafe and East India Company Pub & Eatery.
By comparison, Winnipeg-based Skip the Dishes is already operating in about 100 Canadian cities and towns.
