Those seeking to celebrate Canada Day have a wealth of activities to choose from Saturday, including something new from the city’s biggest party.

The Forks cancelled its annual fireworks show in 2022, focusing instead on cultural activities. This year, it has a new show for the skies in the form of a synchronized dancing illuminated drone show (inspired by Indigenous teachings) to end a day of festivities.

Should you take one of the extra buses stationed Saturday to get people from The Forks to Assiniboine Park, you’ll find bouncy castles, food trucks, a beer garden and even a citizenship ceremony for new Canadians at the Lyric Theatre.
