Contest Details

• Contest starts on Monday, May 8, 2023 and runs to Friday, June 16, 2023.
• Each week runs from Saturday to Friday.
• Friday’s submission form MUST be submitted by 12:00pm (noon) for eligibility. Winners will be announced in the newspaper every Saturday.
• All entrants must be individuals legally residing in Manitoba or Northwestern Ontario and who are the age of majority in Manitoba or Northwestern Ontario at the time of entry into the contest. The Winnipeg Free Press reserves the right to require proof of age and jurisdiction of residence prior to awarding any prize.
• Employees, agents and representatives of the Winnipeg Free Press and its subsidiaries and affiliates, and its advertising and promotion agencies are not eligible to win, nor are the parents, siblings and children of any such employee, agent or representative or any person with whom such employee, agent or representative is domiciled.
• Only one entry per week for each residential address. The company has the right to remove any submission they feel is duplicated.
• All gift cards are mailed to the winner’s address. No exceptions. The company will mail these out within one week of each weekly winner’s announcement in the newspaper. The company is not responsible for items lost in the mail.
• All prizes must be accepted as is with no alternative choices. Prizes are not cash redeemable.
• Prizes may not be exactly as shown.
• The company has final say as to the value of each prize item.
• If there is any confusion or objections to the rules, the company will have the final say and the right to exclude any contestants.
• Company has the right to substitute any prize with another prize of equal value.
• Winners will be determined by random drawing. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
• To determine whether a contestant is a Winnipeg Free Press or Brandon Sun subscriber, their submission address will be verified with our records. All frequency subscriptions and digital-only subscriptions will be eligible.
• Company has full discretion as to how winners are selected.
• No purchase necessary.
• A newspaper clipping showing the winners will be posted on the front counter of the company every Monday following each weekly draw.
• All contestants selected to participate in our grand prize finale, must first have their address verified against their selected contest submission form.
• All contestants competing at our grand prize event must be in attendance to win. Grand prize event will be announced near the end of the contest at a location within Winnipeg. A proxy will be permitted for those who live outside the Winnipeg perimeter highway.
• The contest is on-line only. If a contestant does not have access to a computer or internet, then they may use a proxy to play on their behalf.
• As a condition to play, all winning contestants agree to have their picture taken for the newspaper should they be asked.
