Hey there, time traveller!
This article was published 20/01/2002 (8830 days ago), so information in it may no longer be current.
Our Boat Bookshelf projects are fun and imaginative. They are easy to build, great conversation pieces and incredibly well-designed with the skills and tools of the average hobbyist in mind.
This particular design is also inexpensive to make, and is equally well suited for the cabin, cottage, or at home in the den.
Standing 185 centimetres tall, 66 cm wide and 33 cm deep, there is ample room to showcase all sorts of books and collectibles, and a variety of colors and finishes can be used to complement your home or cottage exactly.
Our plans for this popular project come complete with a materials list, a list of tools required, detailed cutting schedule, actual construction photos, and plenty of step-by-step instructions.
To begin your Boat Bookshelf, ask for Pattern No. P4122 and send $21.95 (please add $5 for postage and GST).
Make your cheque or money order payable to “Constructive Ideas” and mail it, along with your request, to: The Winnipeg Free Press, c/o PO Box 400, Beaconsfield, PQ, H9W 5T9.
You may also order by calling toll-free 1-800-561-8383 and by charging it to your Visa or MasterCard. Or, visit our Web site at www.greatplans.com.
If you are looking for more projects for the cottage or cabin, you are likely to consider our Adirondack, Muskoka, or California chair, table and stool set as well. These are the luxurious and comfortable designs you see on the docks at the most prestigious resorts. To order one of these two-plan furniture sets, ask for Package No. 5029-30. Its cost is regularly $27.95. But, when ordered with the Boat Bookshelf, its cost is only $20 (postage and GST included).
