Here is a well thought out, modular bunk bed project that just has to meet your needs.
That’s because it can be constructed in one of three configurations; as a standard bunk bed, two twin beds, or as a bunk bed and desk combination. And when we say modular, that’s just what we mean!
Build all the necessary components from one, comprehensive, over-size plan, and you can rearrange the furniture pieces as often as you like!
If you have two young children, the traditional bunk bed is perfect. When the kids begin school, switch to the bed and desk combination, shown here. Finally, when the kids are off to college, separate the two beds to accommodate overnight guests.
The plans for the modular bunk bed include a materials list, cutting schedule, and plenty of step-by-step instructions and illustrations.
For a sense of scale, the standard bunk bed measures 82-inches long, 42-inches wide, and 68-inches in height.
