Boomtown: Officers Turcotte and Hechler scour the streets for a gang of jack-o-lantern thieves. McNorris and his wife attend a Hollywood producer’s Halloween bash. (Oct. 27)
Whose Line Is It Anyway?: The guys indulge in improv games including Make a Monster and Helping Hands. (Oct. 28)
8 Simple Rules: Paul wants the family to relive the past by spending one last Halloween camp-out in the old treehouse. But it could turn into a nightmare.
Life With Bonnie: The kids go trick-or-treating with Charlie dressed up as Conan O’Brien, complete with travelling desk. (Oct. 29)
The West Wing: The White House staffers jokingly decorate one another’s offices for Halloween. (Oct. 30)
Global:
The Simpsons: Global will air four old Treehouse of Horror episodes back-to-back (Oct. 26) but major league baseball on Fox TV will again this year push the new instalment ahead, to Sunday, Nov. 3. In Send in the Clones, Homer creates clones to do the housework, but one of them beheads Ned Flanders.
Meanwhile, on Will & Grace, the two are dragged into a long and scary bike ride into the country. And on Good Morning Miami, Jake and Gavin show up at a Halloween party wearing the same costume. That leads to Dylan kissing Jake thinking him to be Gavin. Jake kisses back. (Oct. 31)

MDs: It’s Halloween on the new medical show and Maggie is spooked after reading accounts of a series of hospital murders 50 years ago. (Oct. 30)

The Haunted Pumpkin of Sleepy Hollow: A new animated version of the Washington Irving classic from the makers of Scooby-Doo. (Oct. 29)
Teletoon:
All of October is Spooky Month on Teletoon, with the charge being led by none other than Scooby-Doo and the gang.
Treehouse TV:
From Oct. 28 to Nov. 1 it’s Halloween Dress-Up Week. In the new series The Berenstain Bears get into the Halloween spirit and on Max & Ruby, the bunnies enjoy some Halloween adventures. And Bob the Builder has a surprise in store for him in a new episode, Blind/Ghost/Monster. (Oct. 30)
Discovery Kids:
Witches and Vampires: Tales to make little viewers jump. (Oct. 26)
Also on Mystery Hunters, Araya and Christina investigate New England vampires. On Truth or Scare, Michelle Tractenberg takes a spooky Dracula ride. Sam, Elissa and Noah deal with a witch and an ancient curse on Adventures of Animal Rescue Kids.
Family:
Bone Chillers: A 13-episode half-hour series about the students at Edgar Allan Poe High School, airs each weeknight between Oct. 14-30.
When Good Ghouls Go Bad: Canadian TV premiere of last year’s direct-to-video movie starring Christopher Lloyd. (Oct. 18, 20, 24, 29)
Witches in Stitches: Canadian TV premiere of a 1997 animated feature about a pair of bumbling and feuding old witch sisters who keep screwing up their magic but get convulsed with laughter anyway. (Oct. 19, 27, 31)
BBC Canada:
Dr. Terrible’s House of Horrible: A marathon of episodes in which the good albeit crazed doctor (Steve Coogan) introduces five ghastly, grim-humoured tales. (Oct. 31)
BBC Kids:
Bewitching Hour: Beginning Oct. 28 back-to-back episodes of Pongwiffy and The Belfry Witches.
History Television:
Jack the Ripper: The Mystery Continues: The broadcast premiere of a film that takes viewers back to Victorian London, with new information that purportedly shines light on the infamous crimes. (Oct. 31)
Life Network:
Ghosthunter: The broadcast premiere of this episode of Magnificent Obsessions in which some haunted dwellings in Winnipeg are visited. (Oct. 31)
National Geographic
Canada:
Halloween Week comprises feature looks at everything from the legend of Dracula to the world of creepy, crawly insects.
Star!:
The entertainment information channel’s True Hollywood Story plans themed programming from Oct. 28 to 31. It includes profiles of Brandon Lee (the actor, who like his father Bruce Lee, died tragically) and Twilight Zone creator Rod Serling. Also host Brooke Burke counts down the 13 scariest movies of all time. (Oct. 30)
Scream:
It’s always Halloween on Scream but films this month include Carrie, John Carpenter’s original Halloween, The Thing, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, Night of the Living Dead and The Omen. Also late-night, movie marathons of serial killer series, including Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, Candyman and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
Sam Raimi’s 1987 cult hit, Evil Dead II also gets its Canadian TV premiere. (Oct. 26, 31) including a post-movie interview with star Bruce Campbell.
TV Land:
A Twilight Zone marathon on Halloween night from 6 p.m. ET to midnight as 12 of the original Rod Serling tales are screened.
