Hey there, time traveller!

THE Roll-Top desk design has been popular for more than 200 years. Follow our instructions and the one you construct should last 200 years too! While its appearance and clean lines speak for themselves, the desk’s large writing surface and ample storage space are two key reasons this piece has become a mainstay in fine homes and offices across the country. The desk’s graceful design is a natural for any part of your home without dominating a room.
The desk has a traditional tambour door. Inside is a desk organizer with pigeon holes. The desk organizer is built as a separate unit and simply slides into place as the desk is assembled. Speaking of assembly, the only hardware required for the project is a few woodscrews.
Our roll-top desk is made out of solid cherry, and stands 40-inches tall, 43-inches wide, and 24-inches deep.
To round out your office in style, we also have two great plans for a rolling file organizer as well as a barrister’s bookcase. These plans may be ordered individually or at a special price when purchased with the desk.
To begin the desk, ask for pattern No. 920179 and send $27.95 (as this is an oversize plan, please add $5 for postage and GST). Save more than $20 by also ordering the rolling file organizer, plan No. 2912, and barrister’s bookcase, No. 5055, for only $12 more. Ordered separately, each of these plans is $19.95.
Make your cheque or money order payable to “Constructive Ideas” and mail it, along with your request, to: The Winnipeg Free Press, c/o PO Box 400, Beaconsfield, QC, H9W 5T9.
You may also order by calling toll-free, 1-800-561-8383 and by charging it to your Visa or MasterCard. Or, visit our website at www.greatplans.com.
