Hey there, time traveller!
This article was published 17/07/2005 (7398 days ago), so information in it may no longer be current.
THIS pyramid planter, made from pine or redwood, is an elegant and effective addition to any garden, large or small. In a larger garden, it can be used as a focal point in itself or to mask one of those ‘dead’ areas that most gardens have (in spite of our best efforts). Where it really shines, however, is where space is restricted, such as a patio, since it has a footprint of only about 1 square metre but provides approximately 3.5 linear metres of growing space.
The five tiers of shelves are mounted on flat swivel casters, and thus can be rotated to provide all the plants with the required amount of sun. In addition to assuring optimum growing conditions, this also provides you with a constantly changing view.
The plans for this project detail all you need to know to build the planter and come with a complete materials list, step-by-step instructions and illustrations. To begin the Pyramid Planter, ask for Pattern No. 2044 and send $14.95 (please add $5 for postage and GST). Combine your order with our popular Wheelbarrow Planter plan (No. PL-47) and pay only $35.95 total.
Make your cheque or money order payable to “Constructive Ideas” and mail it, along with your request, to: The Winnipeg Free Press, c/o PO Box 400, Beaconsfield, QC, H9W 5T9.
You may also order by calling toll-free, 1-800-561-8383 and by charging it to your Visa or MasterCard. Or, visit our website at www.greatplans.com.
