QUEBEC (CP) – C2C Inc. (TSXV:CCN), a junior miner based in Quebec, has appointed veteran international mine executive Yves Gagnon as president of the company to help develop its gold property in South America.
Gagnon will head the company and supervise development of C2C’s Bella Rica gold mine in Ecuador and exploration properties in Quebec.
A geological engineer, Gagnon has more than 30 years of experience in mining and worked in Ecuador, where he helped develop the Bella Rica mine a decade ago as president of another company.
Gagnon replaces outgoing president Michael Curtis.
C2C has gold and silver projects in Quebec and southwestern Ecuador.
In Tuesday trading on the TSX Venture Exchange, C2C stock rose three cents to 49 cents, a gain of 6.5 per cent.
