The Travel Section received this note recently from Winnipeg members of International HOPE Canada Inc.

We have just returned from a general monthly meeting of our membership this evening and we want you to know how thrilled everyone was with the generous coverage provided in Saturday’s edition of the Winnipeg Free Press. Thank you.

More importantly, it was effective. The appearance of our letter immediately resulted in calls from interested travellers, plus a donation of suitcases!

We also noted that your reporter Meghan Hurley will be travelling to St. Vincent. Through the efforts of members of the local Caribbean community we have sent containers to St. Vincent. Should Ms Hurley be interested, we would be happy to send a suitcase along with her on her journey and can also provide a contact for delivery.

Public Relations Volunteers:

Dorothy Ridd and Marilyn Williams

(Unfortunately, Meghan already had left for St. Vincent by the time the letter arrived).
