Two scenarios tend to play out when a family home has been inhabited for going on a decade.

The first is that it could look well-used, particularly inside. After all, things happen with families — frenetic early mornings with work and school days intertwining, not necessarily in smooth, orderly fashion.

Then, there are pets and entertaining, both of which — like high-paced family life — can cause wear and blemishes, no matter how careful family members might try to be.

The 1,820-sq.-ft. bungalow is in like-new shape inside and out and offers around 3,500 sq. ft. of total living space.

Next comes scenario No. 2. Somehow, some way (yes, miracles do happen) a home manages to come through seven years of controlled chaos, emerging in near-pristine condition.

A 1,820-sq.-ft. bungalow at 343 Willow Creek Rd. in the Bridgwater neighbourhood would be the latter, says David De Leeuw of Royal LePage Prime Real Estate.

“This home is in absolutely fantastic condition throughout,” he says of the spotless dwelling, which was built by Gino’s Homes in 2019. “Not only is the home in like-new condition, but it also features a number of excellent and very thoughtful upgrades.”

It’s no overstatement to say walking into the spacious bungalow is like walking into a show home.

The luxury vinyl-plank floors glisten (and have no dents in them), the paint on the earth-tone walls is fresh and unmarked, and doors, casings and baseboards aren’t worn at all.

Flow throughout the naturally bright and beautifully finished main living area is fabulous.

De Leeuw says the home’s layout is also exceptional.

“Without question, it would work very well for a family. The two secondary bedrooms were placed to the right of the hallway that leads into the main living area, with a sliding barn door in front of the entryway to close them off. They are quite large and were placed on either side of a beautiful four-piece bath.”

Meanwhile, the primary bedroom is situated down the hallway to the left and was tucked away neatly between the lower-level staircase and main living area.

“Its placement provides exceptional separation between it and the kids’ bedrooms,” De Leeuw says. “It’s a wonderfully private retreat.”

Indeed, it is. In short, it’s a very cosy space that offers a high level of functionality — and luxury.

Comprised of four spaces — sitting area, media area, games area and exercise area — the bright lower-level rec room is a family’s dream.

“The earth-tone colour scheme gives the bedroom a very calm feel, while it’s just the right size, so it feels very welcoming, with has a wonderful warmth,” De Leeuw says. “There’s also a large walk-in closet with built-in storage that offers plenty of space to store your wardrobe. A patio door on the rear wall leads out to a covered deck that’s an ideal spot to enjoy early morning coffee.”

Next comes the splendid space’s piece de resistance — a thoroughly luxurious ensuite.

“You start to relax the moment you step inside,” says De Leeuw. “There’s an inviting six-foot walk-in shower with taupe tile surround, soaker tub set beneath a large window, makeup station and maple vanity with dual raised sinks and quartz countertop.”

Make your way into the main living area, and you find yourself surrounded by light, warmth and subtle style, with a great room featuring a gas fireplace starting the area off in cosy, inviting style.

“With all the windows on the rear wall, there’s great light and the open-concept layout promotes excellent flow between spaces,” De Leeuw says. “The island kitchen is simply gorgeous with its maple cabinets, taupe tile backsplash, taupe quartz countertops and stainless-steel appliances. The dining area is just steps away. Its size and placement make it perfect for entertaining.”

The pleasingly spacious dining area is a well-defined space that opens perfectly onto the kitchen and great room.

He says a key upgrade — a sliding patio door off the kitchen — was a stroke of genius.

“Prior to the door being added, you had to go around the home to access the backyard. A stairway then takes you down to an incredible backyard. It has been fenced for privacy and offers a top-of-the line in-ground pool, hot tub and patio area. Most homes in the area don’t have backyards that offer the degree of privacy you find here.”

Finally, there’s the massive, fully finished lower level.

“It’s an amazing area that’s awash in natural light thanks to big lookout windows on its rear wall,” De Leeuw says. “It holds a sitting area, media area, games area, exercise area, fourth bedroom, flex space, luxurious three-piece bath and a large storage/mechanical room.”

There’s no reason to buy new when you can find a home like this, De Leeuw says.

A gas fireplace set in a boxed-out taupe feature wall serves as the focal point of the inviting great room.

“It’s better than new — everything is in place and has been done for you. Everything works beautifully here, from its flow and finishes to its abundance of natural light and exceptional quality. It’s a magnificent home in every way.”
