ST. JAMES-Assiniboia School Division has finally sold the former Deer Lodge Junior High School for $775,000.

The sale did not specify the future use of the site at 1970 Ness Ave., says superintendent Ron Weston.

The school had most recently been used as provincial government offices, but the province moved elsewhere when the lease expired.

The division has sold the property to land developer Hudson Bay Traders Ltd., which in turn sold it to a numbered company.

Hudson Bay Traders said that the new owner is a Winnipeg lawyer, who could not be reached Tuesday.
