THERE is a new mobile news app for up-to-the minute news and photos.

FP News is now available for use on the iPad, iPhone and Blackberry devices. To learn more and to download the app, go to www.fpnews.ca

The FP News app gives you access to national and world news, sports, entertainment and much more from the resources of FP Canadian Newspapers, parent company of the Winnipeg Free Press. FP is delivering content to a mobile platform developed with Spreed, a technology company that specializes in mobile news applications. Spreed is also developing a new mobile application for the Free Press, with a focus on local news, which is expected to be available by the end of the month.

Free Press publisher Bob Cox said the new app is a great opportunity for FP to provide content for a national platform. “The digital world is borderless. We have an award-winning newsroom, with talented journalists providing important information and insight. Who says you have to get your national news perspective from Toronto? After all, we are the centre of Canada!”
