MAYOR Sam Katz will stand on a Vancouver street corner wearing a B.C. Lions jersey if the Winnipeg Blue Bombers lose the Grey Cup.
Katz said he and Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson made a friendly wager before this Sunday’s big game. He said Robertson has pledged to stand at Portage and Main wearing a Bombers jersey if the Blue and Gold clinch the win this weekend.
Katz said he will also give Robertson a basket of fine locally made products, such as pickrel and goldeye, if the Bombers lose.
Last week, Katz made a bet with Hamilton Mayor Bob Bratina for the eastern semi-final. He donated $360 to KidSport Manitoba, a charity of his choice, when Winnipeg defeated Hamilton.
