Hey there, time traveller!

Jimi Hendrix’s ex-girlfriend blasts biopic
THIS new Jimi Hendrix biopic? Parts are “completely made up,” says Kathy Etchingham, the legendary guitarist’s girlfriend from 1966-69.
Jimi: All Is By My Side, starring Andre Benjamin (a.k.a. Andre 3000), was written and directed by John Ridley, who recently won an Oscar for best director for 12 Years a Slave.
Kathy hasn’t even seen the movie yet, but she told Australia’s Fairfax newspapers the scene in which Jimi attacks her is pure fiction.
Hendrix died in 1970.
Weaver wants to return as Ripley
IT’S never too late: Sigourney Weaver, 64, wants to play Ellen Ripley again.
There’s been loose talk about another Alien movie for years and Weaver, speaking at something called the Hero Complex Film Festival, says “I do feel like there is more story to tell… Had we done a fifth one, I don’t doubt that her humanity would have prevailed.”
I wonder what that means.
Katy Perry to pen breakup tunes
KATY Perry says she will write songs about John Mayer after they broke up in February. It was their second split, and apparently this one’s permanent.
When Cosmopolitan magazine asked, she said “There’s no bad blood. But I’m sure there will be inspired songs.”
Mayer, the subject of Taylor Swift’s terminally bitter ditty Dear John (“Don’t you think nineteen’s too young / To be played by your dark, twisted games?”), says he’s ready for whatever Katy writes: “I have super strength for gang-ups. I’m fine, I’m fine,” he told TMZ.com.
Songwriters such as Perry, he said, are “supposed to write songs. You’re just not supposed to tell everybody you’re doing it.”
Katy is now reportedly back with former boyfriend Rob Ackroyd, who plays guitar for Florence and the Machine.
Kidman says kin is what matters
NICOLE Kidman, sounding pretty much like someone whose career is stalled, says family is more important.
“If it were the choice between my family and Keith (Urban, her husband) and my career, I wouldn’t even bat an eyelid,” she told Women’s Weekly, an Australian mag. “At this stage of my life, and with time being so precious, the joy I get from us as a family outweighs any joy in any other area of my life, by far.”
She and Urban have two daughters. She also has two adult children from her time with Tom Cruise.
Cain eyes future congressional run
ACTOR Dean Cain says he’d like to be in Congress and may run for the job someday.
Cain, who play Clark Kent/Superman in the TV series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman on ABC in the ’90s, was talking to website Real Clear Politics.
He’s interested in California’s 33rd district, which includes the limousine liberals of Beverly Hills, Bel Air, Malibu and Santa Monica.
Cain says he’s “not a huge fan of the current administration” in Washington, and that he’s conservative on spending but “very, very liberal” on social issues.
Director pays for dalliance
RUPERT Sanders is paying a high price for his dalliance (is that a great word, or what?) with Kristen Stewart when he was directing her in Snow White and the Huntsman. TMZ.com says his ex-wife, Liberty Ross, has taken Sanders to the cleaners in their divorce settlement.
The website says Ross gets their $2-million home in Hollywood, and “she made out very well” in the division of their other assets. Ross is currently dating zillionaire music bigshot Jimmy Iovine.
Vergara denies dating Cruise
SOFIA Vergara has sent entourage members out to tell the world she is not dating Tom Cruise, no matter what the rumours say.
Vergara recently split with rich guy Nick Loeb, and somebody claiming to know said Cruise has been after her since, and she “wants to be wooed.” The two did date for 10 minutes in the distant past.
But now One Who Knows tells the New York Post there’s nothing happening: “They’re not going on any dates.”
