Hey there, time traveller!

HERE’S what’s open and closed over the Christmas holiday this week:
City services:
Civic offices and the Winnipeg Parking Authority offices will close at noon today and will remain closed until Monday, Dec. 29. City swimming pools will close at noon on Christmas Eve and will remain closed until Saturday, when regular weekend hours commence.
Recycling and garbage pickup will occur today, but not on Christmas Day. Those scheduled for pickup on Christmas Day and Boxing Day will see their collection delayed by one day (Thursday collection will take place Friday; Friday’s pickup is scheduled for Saturday).
Most city libraries will close at 1 p.m. today. They will reopen Saturday.
All city-run leisure centres will close at noon today, except the St. James Civic Centre (which will close at 4:30 p.m.). The leisure centres are closed on Dec. 25 and Dec. 26.
The Brady Landfill will be closed Christmas Day.
Christmas-tree recycling depots open on Saturday. Trees can be dropped off at any of the 11 recycling depots. Trees can be recycled at those locations until Jan. 20.
Winnipeg Transit will operate on a Sunday schedule on Christmas Day.
Retail:
Major shopping malls — The Polo Park mall, St. Vital Centre, Kildonan Place and Portage Place — will close at 5 p.m. today and will reopen at 8 a.m. on Boxing Day.
Most restaurants will be closed tonight and Thursday, as well. Most will reopen Friday.
All Winnipeg-area Liquor Marts are open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. today, closed Christmas Day and open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Boxing Day.
The Winnipeg Free Press will not publish on Christmas Day. Our website (winnipegfreepress.com) will be updated throughout the day.
