NDP Leader Tom Mulcair and Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau will make stops in Winnipeg this week.

The visits follow a brief rally of party loyalists hosted by Conservative Leader Stephen Harper last week at the Tijuana Yacht Club.

Trudeau was in Winnipeg twice in July, but will make his first official stop of the campaign Wednesday evening at the Holiday Inn South on Pembina Highway. His event announcement said he will make a policy promise related to “growing the middle class.”

Mulcair, making his first trip to Winnipeg since November, will host a rally at the RBC Convention Centre Thursday evening.

The Liberals are targeting at least three Winnipeg ridings to win — Saint Boniface-Saint Vital, Winnipeg South and Winnipeg South Centre, with a strong campaign also in Kildonan-St. Paul.

The NDP is targeting Elmwood-Transcona and also running solid campaigns in Kildonan-St. Paul and Winnipeg South Centre.
