Hey there, time traveller!

Progressive Conservative Leader Brian Pallister, if elected on April 19, pledged to dissolve the current the government’s Premier’s Economic Advisory Committee and start fresh with a new one.
Pallister made the announcement during his keynote address at the The Manitoba Chambers Of Commerce breakfast series Wednesday morning. The series will see all three leaders from the province’s major parties address local business owners and stakeholders ahead of the election.
The new committee, dubbed the Premier’s Enterprise Team, will include up to 12 members drawn from the business community.

“It is very different because the Premier’s current method isn’t working and the Premier himself hasn’t demonstrated competence or respect,” Pallister said when asked how this committee will be different. “How is this different? Because it will work.”
Pallister’s address outlined key points in his party’s platform, including rolling back the PST, encouraging a better tendering process for government contracts and taking the province out of the bottom barrel on issues such as hospital wait times, educational outcomes and tourism spending.
Later Wednesday afternoon, Pallister will unveil his party’s economic plan for Manitoba, which he hinted will include a better relationship with the business community.
