Manitoba has a new online tool to connect volunteers with those needing help during the COVID-19 emergency.

Residents in greatest need, such as the elderly, disabled and those at high risk of contracting COVID-19 will find the application useful, he told a news conference.

The Winnipeg Comedy Festival will be doling out the laughs at a later date in light of ongoing COVID-19 developments. The 19th annual comedy festival, which was set to run at the end of April at venues across the city, has been rescheduled for Aug. 23 to 29.
