Woman, 40, found safe

A 40-year-old woman missing since February has been found safe.

Roseanne Cameron, 40, had last been seen in early February before she was reported missing in May. The Winnipeg Police Service missing persons unit requested the public’s help in finding her in early June.

On Monday, the Winnipeg Police Service missing persons unit said Cameron had been located.

Several charged after fight at Collège Sturgeon Heights Collegiate

Several people are facing charges after a fight broke out at Collège Sturgeon Heights Collegiate around lunchtime Monday, according to police.

The Winnipeg Police Service confirmed officers attended the high school around 12:30 p.m., in response to a report about several people being involved in a fight, including an adult male.

“Bear spray may have been used in the assault with three people suffering from the effects,” said Const. Claude Chancy.

Chancy said an ambulance was not required, the school did not go into lockdown, and “several of the involved parties are facing charges.” He would not immediately say if students have been charged and what the charges were, citing an ongoing investigation.

A video showing a group of teenagers engaged in an altercation near a parked car on Thompson Drive, outside the school, has been making the rounds on social media. Footage shows an adult on the scene.
