Crews respond to fires in Pritchard Avenue and Ross Avenue

The Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to two house fires on Pritchard Avenue and Ross Avenue West on Saturday, Oct. 29.

At 4:19 p.m., two neighbouring houses were on fire in the 400 block of Pritchard Avenue, a WFPS crew said. The fire was brought under control at 4:38 p.m. There was no one in either of the houses.

Later at 4:32 p.m., the WFPS responded to reports of a fire in a two-and-a-half-storey house in the 1500 block of Ross Avenue West. Crews tackled the fire from inside the house and brought it under control at 4:56 p.m.

No one was in the house at the time of the incident.

There were no injuries reported. The cause of the fires is under investigation.

10:22 AM

Fire breaks out in Stella Avenue home

A fire broke out in a vacant, single-storey house in the 500 block of Stella Avenue at 9:42 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service said.

Firefighters attacked the fire from inside the house and brought it under control at 9:55 p.m.

Crews searched the house and no occupants were found. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
