A young man is charged with second-degree murder after a stabbing in Powerview-Pine Falls on Saturday.

RCMP were sent to a home on Josse Street at approximately 1:05 a.m.

Body of boater found

The body of a fisher who went missing while on Cockeram Lake has been found.

The body of the 61-year-old man, a resident of Lynn Lake, was found Sunday.

The RCMP thanks residents of Marcel Colomb First Nation and Lynn Lake for their “countless hours of searching.”

The man was one of two boaters who died in the incident. The body of a 30-year-old woman, also from Lynn Lake, was found by civilian searchers on Oct. 16.

The pair was reported missing one day earlier. A search of the lake, which is about 10 km east of the town of Lynn Lake, began the next morning.
