Two teens missing from Lorette have been found safe, police said this morning.

George Hassan, 14, was reported missing to Mounties on Friday, after he was last seen leaving his Lorette home on Nov. 1.

RCMP had said that they thought Hassan was in Winnipeg with Angelina Powderhorn, 16, who was reported missing from her Lorette home on Monday.

RCMP asked for the public’s help in finding the missing teens on Tuesday.

A man wanted by city police in connection with two violent robberies at a bus stop in Tyndall Park has been arrested.

Jayden Isreal Kennedy, 18, was arrested at a home in the first 100 block of Foxberry Bay on Tuesday and remains in police custody, the Winnipeg Police Service said today.

An 18-year-old man was slashed with a knife and punched before he was robbed at the stop at Keewatin Street and Burrows Avenue on Nov. 2. Two days later, a man in his 20s was attacked with a knife before he was robbed.

Police are searching for a missing Opaskwayak Cree Nation teen.

Nikeesha Wilson, 17, was last seen at 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 31 after leaving her home in OCN, the Manitoba First Nations Police Service said today.

She is described as Indigenous, 5-2 in height, about 121 pounds, with brown eyes and long black hair. She was last seen wearing grey sweatpants and carrying a pink purse, police said.

A man was killed in a rollover highway crash near Powerview-Pine Falls on Tuesday night.

The single-vehicle crash happened on Highway 11 about two kilometres east of the community at about 9:55 p.m.

RCMP said the SUV appeared to have been westbound when the driver lost control. The vehicle rolled into a ditch.

The driver, a 45-year-old man from Fort Alexander, was found sitting outside of the vehicle suffering from non-life-threatening injuries. The 65-year-old passenger, also from Fort Alexander, was inside the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Neither man was wearing a seatbelt, RCMP said.

The driver was arrested for impaired driving causing death and taken to hospital for treatment.

The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority’s online tracker for hospital ER and urgent care wait times has suffered a technical malfunction.

Current wait times aren’t being displayed on the page.

The link to the dashboard is displaying a “404 page not found” error message, after redirecting visitors to a press release that is almost five years old and failing to show updates since 11:21 a.m.

A WRHA spokeswoman said the website is having “technical difficulties” and staff are working on a fix.

Police are investigating a reported assault after a man grabbed and hugged an 11-year-old girl in Windsor Park.

The incident happened Monday at around 12:45 p.m. A man described as being 35 to 40 years old approached the young girl and asked her for directions while she was walking on Westmount Drive between Maywood Road and Paterson Street. The man then grabbed her and hugged her.

“A passing motorist had observed the struggle and checked on the victim before looking for the suspect. Soon after, he found the male walking near Westmount Drive and Cottonwood Road. The passerby confronted the male and took two pictures of him. The male was last seen walking northbound on Northumbria Bay from Cottonwood Drive,” WPS stated in a news release.

Police are describing the suspect as Indigenous in appearance, 35-40 years old, 6’2” to 6’4” tall, with a lean build and a rounded nose. He was wearing gold wire-rimmed glasses, a blue/grey jacket, dark navy blue or black cargo pants, black shoes, and a grey, black and white backpack with a camouflage pattern.
