Hellebuyck starts road trip finale in Chicago

CHICAGO — The Winnipeg Jets will try to wrap up their road trip on a winning note tonight.

Connor Hellebuyck starts in goal as they face the Chicago Blackhawks. But other lineup questions remain, specifically up front.

Assistant coach Brad Lauer said a few forwards are game-time decisions, with the roster not known until the pre-game warmup. It’s possible Morgan Barron could return from a broken wrist suffered at the end of October.

The blue-line remains the same, with Ville Heinola and Kyle Capobianco the two healthy scratches.

Winnipeg lost 6-1 in Minnesota on Wednesday, then won 5-4 in Dallas on Friday.

Barron, Toninato in for Jets, Gustafsson, Gagner out

CHICAGO — The Winnipeg Jets have made a pair of lineup changes as they get set to face the Chicago Blackhawks tonight.

Forwards Morgan Barron and Dominic Toninato come in, while David Gustafsson and Sam Gagner are out.

Barron is coming off a broken wrist that required surgery and has missed the last 10 games. He was activated off injured reserve this afternoon. Defenceman Ville Heinola was sent down to the Manitoba Moose to clear a roster spot.

Toninato had been a healthy scratch in recent games.

Gustafsson is day to day with a minor injury, while Gagner will be a healthy scratch.
