A woman who had been missing since early December has been found after her family hired a private investigator to help find her.
The Winnipeg Police Service gave no details on how 39-year-old Gabrielle Marsden was found Tuesday, but said she had been safely located.
Marsden had last been seen in the 400 block of Dufferin Avenue near Salter Street on Dec. 7.

Marsden, who is homeless, would regularly get in touch with her family. Her daughter told the Free Press last week that the family worried when she went missing for an extended period of time. Marsden’s sister hired private investigator Janie Duncan of Duncan Investigations to pursue any leads. The family also posted on social media seeking to find Marsden and put up posters in the North End area.
Details of her disappearance had also been shared through the Bear Clan Patrol, following a new process where the WPS issues some missing persons reports through its organization.
