Winnipeg police release name of Beverley Street slaying victim
9:06 AM
Winnipeg police have publicly identified the city’s seventh homicide victim.
Police were called to a reported shooting in the lane behind the 400 block of Beverley Street in the West End at about 6 a.m. Tuesday, where they found two women with gunshot wounds.
Lori Gordon, 49, had already died by the time police arrived, while the other victim, a 35-year-old woman, was taken to hospital. The second victim has been upgraded to stable condition, police said Wednesday morning.
Homicide detectives have taken over the investigation and police have announced no arrests. Investigators ask anyone with information to call police at 204-986-6805 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 204-786-8477.
