Suspect sought following March assaults
9:27 AM
Winnipeg police are seeking the public’s assistance in finding a man who allegedly assaulted two people.
Officers were called to the Seven Oaks General Hospital for a report of a man who was assaulted at Pacific Avenue and Princess Street around 8 a.m. on March 30. The 56-year-old victim was allegedly struck in the upper body without being provoked and he fell to the sidewalk. The victim was taken to the hospital by a good samaritan where he received care.
Police say a second victim, who has yet to report the incident, was also assaulted in the 200 block of Princess St. following the first attack.
The suspect is described as male, aged 25 to 40 years old. He is approximately 5’8″ to 6’2″ with a larger build and was wearing a black jacket. Anyone with information is asked to contact investigators at 204-986-6313 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-8477.

Jets, Predators tied 0-0 after first period
6:49 PM
The Winnipeg Jets and Nashville Predators are still searching for the first goal of the game after the opening period at Canada Life Centre.
Neither team could find the back of the net in the tight-checking frame.
Shots were 8-7 in favour of the Predators.
This is basically a must-win for both clubs. Winnipeg currently occupies the final Western Conference wildcard playoff, but Nashville is just one point behind. They each have two games remaining after this.
