Manitoba teams still alive at Canadian seniors
10:33 PM
Manitoba’s teams at the Canadian senior curling championships in Vernon, B.C., have qualified for the championship pool.
Dave Boehmer of Petersfield finished with a 4-2 record in preliminary round-robin men’s play, while Joelle Brown of Charleswood was 3-3 in women’s competition.
The event started Sunday with 14 teams on each side and wraps up Saturday. Only the top eight teams on each side remain.
The Manitoba teams now play four more ‘cross-over’ games and need some success to make the semifinals as they carry their records with them.
