Winnipeg police searching for missing 68-year-old man

Winnipeg police are searching for a man missing since Wednesday.
Allan Chlopecki, 68, was last seen on Wednesday afternoon around Marion Street and Tache Avenue.
Police say he’s 5-10 with a thin build, short blond hair and a grey beard.
Missing persons investigators ask anyone with information on his whereabouts to call 204-986-6250.
Jets beat Wild 4-2

The Winnipeg Jets have continued their strong December play, beating the Minnesota Wild 4-2 on Saturday afternoon at Canada Life Centre.
Nino Niederreiter scored twice, while Alex Iafallo and Axel Jonsson-Fjallby had the others. Ryan Hartman and Matt Boldy scored for the visitors.
Connor Hellebuyck was terrific in net, making 35 saves.
Winnipeg improves to 21-9-4, including 9-1-2 this month. Minnesota falls to 16-14-4.
The teams now head south to St. Paul where they’ll meet in a re-match on Sunday afternoon.
Woman accused in Poplar River slaying charged with second-degree murder

A woman accused in the slaying of a man in Poplar River First Nation on Thursday has been charged with murder.
RCMP from the local detachment were called about a homicide at a home in the small community on the northeastern shore of Lake Winnipeg at about 8:10 p.m. on Thursday, where they found a 26-year-old man dead.
A 28-year-old woman was arrested and Mounties initially planned to charge her with manslaughter.
RCMP said on Saturday that the woman, Tatyana Bruce of Poplar River, would instead be charged with second-degree murder. She’s been remanded into custody.
