Jets beat Senators 2-1 in OT

A dazzling individual effort from Nikolaj Ehlers was the difference as the visiting Winnipeg Jets beat the Ottawa Senators 2-1 in overtime NHL action Saturday afternoon.
Ehlers scored the game-winner with 46 seconds left in the three-on-three session.
Mason Appleton and Parker Kelly had traded regulation goals.
Jets goaltender Connor Hellebuyck was stellar, stopping 34 of 35 shots.
Winnipeg improves to 30-10-4, which is first-overall in the NHL. They are 10-1-0 in the last 11 games and 14-1-2 in the past 17.
The Jets have also gone 34 straight games giving up three goals or less, which is one game short of the modern-day NHL record.
Winnipeg continues its three-game road trip on Monday in Boston.
Two injured after stabbing in The Pas

The Pas RCMP say two people are severely injured after a “serious stabbing incident” Friday.
Mounties were called to the 300 block of Edwards Ave. just before 4 p.m.
It’s believed one or more suspect remains at large. Residents are being asked to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call The Pas RCMP at 204-627-6204, Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477, or submit a secure tip online at manitobacrimestoppers.com.
Veteran receiver Wolitarsky signs two-year deal with Bombers

Drew Wolitarsky has signed a new two-year deal to remain with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
The veteran receiver was scheduled to become a free agent next month.
This past season, Wolitarsky recorded the finest season since joining Winnipeg in 2017.
He set career highs in receptions (47), receiving yards (668) and touchdowns (six) while suiting up for all 18 regular- season games as well as the Western Final and Grey Cup.
Missing girl last seen in Garden City located

Winnipeg police say a missing 11-year-old girl has been safely located Saturday.
Myrtle Brass was last seen Friday around 5 p.m. in the Garden City area.
