On March 21, officers engaged in an unrelated investigation recognized a man suspected of committing a series of thefts and robberies, the Winnipeg Police Service said in a release Sunday.
Investigators linked the man to more than two dozen incidents in which he is accused of stealing large amounts of meat from chain grocery stores across the city. No injuries were reported due to the reported incidents, but investigators estimate the related financial loss to total more than $10,000, WPS said.
Keifer Mitchell Davis Kent, 32, is charged with seven counts of robbery, 18 counts of theft under $5,000 and three counts of failing to comply with an undertaking.
